Jewel - The Greatest Hits Remixed

Singer/songwriter Jewel is no stranger to clubland as a number of her singles have been remixed for dancefloor consumption, and she even dabbled in some Electronic-influenced music with her 0304 album.

Jenna Drey - Summer Night In Seattle

Dance diva Jenna Drey is back with a new single just as Summer is about to start. The song is a return to form for the singer. The song's romantic lyrics are absolutely memorable. Jenna sounds absolutely fantastic. Lenny Bertoldo's energetic production on the main versions complements the song well. Some harder remixes could take advantage of some of the more dramatic parts of the songs like the vocalizations into the bridge. Overall, this should be another hit for Jenna.

Nelly Furtado - Night Is Young

This is a new song off of her upcoming greatest hits album. The song is a dance/pop track in its original form. The production is somewhat dated sounding. Vocally, Nelly is on point. But it just doesn't work that well in its original version. However, there is a remix for this by Lenny Bertoldo. His Sylvane mix takes some of the edge off and lets the song become much more fun. The mellow production allows Nelly's vocals to shine. Lenny salvaged an otherwise tepid song with his mix.

L2 - Boys Or Girls

"Boys Or Girls" is a campy, humorous song about a woman wondering whether a potential love interest is gay or straight. The description may make this song seem a tad off-putting, but it's done tastefully. There are remixes of this by Mike Rizzo, Tracy Young, Almighty, and Lenny Bertoldo. Mike's mixes are electro-pop oriented, easily fitting in on Pop radio. Tracy's mix is suited for a big room environment, but it's mild enough for house sets too. Almighty's mix is funky house-oriented, with a light euro nrg undercurrent. Lenny's mix is in-between and would fit into a wide variety of sets. All versions are well-done.

The Fray - You Found Me

This was the lead single off of their second album. It is a simple, minimal track in their indelible style. It's quite good.

Lenny Bertoldo's remixes of this (under the name Sylvane) transform this gem for the dancefloor. It's a piano-driven mix that maintains the serious vibe of the original, but still makes it fun. It's very pretty. One of the best remixes of a non-Dance song this year.
