The first package of remixes of her new single were released yesterday. Oscar G, Subgroover, Todd Terry, and Tony Moran with Joe Carrano provide the remixes. Oscar G's mixes have a funky old school flavor to them. The analog loop running throughout it that is also heard in the Subgroover and Todd Terry mixes, and the Latin percussion elements are a nice touch. Subgroover's mix is a bit more mainstream, but it has that late 90s filter disco sound that was really popular for a time. Todd Terry's smoother, chilled mix is delightful. Tony Moran with Joe Carrano, on their first remix together deliver a big room, Eurohouse mix with a big trancey synth riff. A percapella and synthapella of their mixes are included as well which showcase additional dimensions of their main mix. Overall, every mix is really well done, though the Todd Terry and Tony Moran with Joe Carrano ones end up being the best of the bunch.

Tony Moran vs Deborah Cooper - Heartbeat
This song was released under the name Diva Convention last year. In addition to the main mix, there are some more remixes by The Degenerates, Eddie Baez, Gustavo Scorpio, Sted-E & Hybrid Heights, and Todd Terry. The Degenerates' mixes are bassline-driven room shakers. The dub ends up being far more exciting with the various loops and builds. Eddie Baez and Gustavo Scorpio's Circuit-oriented treatments toughen things up. Eddie's is harder. The Sted-E & Hybrid Heights Electro mix may work for some DJ, but the vocals just don't seem to mesh that well with the production. Veteran producer Todd Terry's mix with its blips and beeps and laidback beats is fun too. The main version and the Eddie Baez ones are the best of the bunch.

Jewel - The Greatest Hits Remixed
Singer/songwriter Jewel is no stranger to clubland as a number of her singles have been remixed for dancefloor consumption, and she even dabbled in some Electronic-influenced music with her 0304 album.

Ricky Luchini featuring Moony - Little Bird
There have been a handful of covers of Annie Lennox songs released over the years. This is the latest. Annie's original version came out in 1992. It had remixes by Todd Terry, Utah Saints and N-Joi.
Singer Moony puts her own spin on this underrated gem. Appropriately, this is a full vocal cover. Her vocal performance is decent, but given that Annie Lennox is the original artist, it is very difficult to come close to that level of perfection. The piano-driven production on the Disko Kriminals mix is lovely. This is perfect for the dancefloors.
