Bit Error + Country Club Martini Crew feat. Inaya Day - Do What We Do

This is the first original track from DJ/producer/remixer Bit Error and Country Club Martini Crew. It features the vocals of Dance diva Inaya Day. The song has a distinct 80s flavor to it with the synths and beats, but it sounds contemporary. It is dancefloor and radio ready. The main versions are out now, but a full remix package will be released on March 4.

Inaya Day & DJ Escape - Make Some Noise (Part 2)

Weeks after the release of part 1 comes the part 2 featuring remixes by Dom Capello, Razor N Guido, and Stephan Grondin & Nick Bertossi. Dom Capello's contemporary tribal/electro dub with just a few spoken parts. Razor N Guido deliver with their usual tribal goodness. Their Duhb is the treat with the re-created "Distortion" piano hook. Stephan Grondin and Nick Bertossi's tribal mix is also quite good. The late 90s 'pots n pans' sound that was characteristic of that time shines through at just the right moments. Also included is a full acapella. Overall, the Razor N Guido Duhb is the highlight of part 2. The Escape & Coluccio club mix and dub from Part 1 is also included as is radio edit.

Inaya Day & DJ Escape - Make Some Noise (Part 1)

Several months in the making, the Gospel/House diva known for the classics "Keep Pushin", "Hold Your Head Up High", and "Movin' Up" has teamed up with one of the Circuit scene's brightest stars for this new single. This song has the same soul and passion that made her earlier hits so memorable and beloved. Inaya sounds amazing. The main production by DJ Escape with Tony Coluccio is in their signature synthy, tribal style, though it is more anthemic than usual. The dub of the main version would work as a great tease to the full mix. Additional remixes on this first package are by Eddie Elias and Peter Presta.  Eddie's mixes are even harder than the main ones, capturing the big room vibe of Earth era Junior Vasquez mixes (especially the ones he did with Joe Carrano). Peter Presta's mix is hard as well, but it has more of a techy, tribal feel. It's nice as well. Rounding out the package is a DJ tool with just some of Inaya's ad libs and some of the main hook. Overall, every mix is great. A 2nd package with more mixes is planned for a later release with a lineup including Dom Capello, Johnny Vicious, Razor & Guido, Stephan Grondin, Nick Bertossi. This is sure to be the massive this year.

Inaya Day - Never Had Another Love

This is the latest release from Ms. Day. "Never Had Another Love" is not the powerful, inspiration anthem that one would expect from her, but it's still very good. However, she does sing about how wonderful her current love is. All of the versions except one are aimed at circuit and big rooms. The original is a nice mix of tribal and electro. The Alex Botar & Micky Friedmann and Audio Assembly club mixes are the closest things to a big room anthem. The former provide hard and aggressive tribal mixes while the latter adds a fun rock element. Dave Rose's mix has a tribal/synth-pop type of sound. The Oxford Hustlers mix is the lightest one of the bunch and has the greatest potential on dance radio and in mixshows. Finally is Audio Assembly's R&B mix. This has a UK 2 step, light breaks kind of sound with some of the sounds heard in the Audio Assembly club mixes. This is a nice addition to the package. Overall, every version is excellent.

Inaya Day and BetBoyz - Higher Place

This is a collaboration involving singer Inaya Day plus Randy Bettis and David Boyd. Inaya delivers the goods as only she can with a soulful, yet stirring performance. All versions of this song are circuit-oriented. There are remixes by Randy and David, DeMarko!, Peter Barona & Hull, JMBW & Joel Dickinson, and Almond Brown. The main version by Randy and David is hard and driving. DeMarko!'s is much harder and more big room-oriented. Peter Barona & Hull's mix is very synthy. JMBW & Joel Dickinson's mix is a bit darker. DJ JST's is both darker and harder. The Almond Brown mix is minimally produced with just a little bit of everything. Overall, every version of this song is very good!

Junior Vasquez - Junior's Nervous Breakdown 2: Demented

After last year's successful Generation Next comes Junior's newest mixed CD. This is the second CD he has done for Nervous Records in this particular series. The last was released nearly a decade ago and was filled with many of this productions at the time. This one features only a single production with his name attached to it. The mix begins with some darker tribal songs but the light, soulful vocal-oriented cuts arrive very soon. There are several sections which alternate between the dark and the light. The flow between these sections is smooth. Junior is known for his multiple hour sets which span across multiple genres. Transferring that aesthetic into a 60 minute mix can be challenging, but it works perfectly here. All of the tracks bring something special to the set, however, some of the highlights include the Joe Salcedo track which is the namesake for this compilation, and the new Inaya Day track. All of the vocal-oriented cuts are beautiful. Overall, this is a great mixed CD. This will be released on August 17.
