LeAnn Rimes - Dance Like You Don't Give A...Greatest Hits Remixes

The Country star has had a string of chart hits throughout her nearly 2 decade career. A number of her singles were remixed for the clubs and she had success on the Club Play chart. An album consisting of both previously unreleased and released mixes was released last week. It is completely unmixed and features remixes of some of her biggest hits as well as a few other selected singles that didn't quite get the attention they deserved. Every single one of these remixes is melodic and is a good match for the original song. The highlights include the remixes of "Gasoline And Matches", "You've Ruined Me", "Can't Fight The Moonlight", "I Need You", "How Do I Live", "Strong", "Nothin' Better To Do", and "Headphones." This is an outstanding collection of remixes.

Agnetha Faltskog - Dance Your Pain Away (Remixes)

The remixes for the former ABBA member's new dancefloor anthem have been released. Cahill, Patrolla, 7th Heaven, and Smash Mode. Cahill's mix is their usual, but they kept it a little softer, delivering a mix that maintains the Disco vibe of the original but makes it contemporary. It has a slight 80s Hi Nrg feel too. Patrolla's mix is uplifting with strings and piano elements. 7th Heaven's mix beautifully recalls the halcyon days of the Disco era. Smash Mode's is basically a slightly harder take on the original. Every mix is well done, but 7th Heaven's is easily the best of the bunch, along with the original of course.

Agnetha Faltskog - Dance Your Pain Away

The former member of the legendary Swedish group ABBA released her latest solo album a couple of months back. The second single is a feelgood, throwback that evokes memories of her work with her former group. It's a lovely song. Agnetha still sounds great. There are remixes by Cahill, Smash Mode, and 7th Heaven (the Cahill and 7th Heaven ones are not yet released). Smash Mode toughens up the song's bassline, but retains the lush Disco vibe of the original. It's very good.

Priyanka Chopra feat. Pitbull - Exotic (Remixes)

This is the latest single from the Bollywood actress and red hot rapper Pitbull. Produced by RedOne, this club banger is in a similar vein as Jennifer Lopez's "Live It Up", which also involves RedOne and Pitbull. Despite the seemingly ordinary lyrics and conventional production, the addition of the Hindi language hook after the chorus makes it stand out. There are remixes by Cahill, Moto Blanco, and Zumba. Cahill's is their usual funky house goodness. Moto Blanco and Zumba's are a bit closer to the circuit/big room style. Every remix is great.

Cahill & Kimberley Locke - Feel The Love

This is a new collaboration with former American Idol contestant. She has had remixes commissioned for a number of her singles over the years and has even released a couple pure Dance songs. This song has that same euphoric feelgood vibe that one might have felt when they first heard David Guetta and Kelly Rowland's "When Love Takes Over" several years back. The uplifting, hand-in-the-air production by Cahill is gorgeous. Kimberley delivers a fantastic vocal performance. This should be a huge hit on both radio and in the clubs.

Nightcrawlers feat Taio Cruz - Still Cryin'

This is a club-oriented update to a song sung by Taio and John Reid a couple of years back. Both singers' voices complement each other nicely. The Freemasons, Cahill, LMC, Kenny Hayes, Jorg Schmid, and Hypasonic provide the remixes. The Freemasons keep things simple with a slightly slower mix than usual. Cahill's slightly trancey mix is beautiful as well. LMC and Kenny Hayes make things a little funkier. Jorg Schmid and Hypasonic's mixes are both in that jump-up trance style. Each a little faster than the last. Overall, the Freemasons, Cahill, and Kenny Hayes mixes are the best of the bunch. The Freemasons mix sounds perfect for U.S. CHR/Pop radio right now.

Nicole Scherzinger - Don't Hold Your Breath

This is her latest single from her yet to be released solo debut album. Produced by Dave Aude, this song is based on a demo track composed by Timbaland and Keri Hilson. The chorus is the only part which is identical. The midtempo has an 80's synthpop with modern electro sound to it. It is one of the better songs Nicole has come out with as a solo artist. There are remixes for this by Bimbo Jones, Cahill, Dave Aude, and The Alias. Bimbo Jones delivers an atmospheric, big room-ish, funky house mix. Cahill's is in a similar vein as well. The lush "Clocks" sounding piano section is really beautiful. Dave Aude's mix is the most aggressive, and much harder-hitting. The Alias remix is sort of the middle ground between all of these mixes, with a slight 80's feel. Overall, all versions including the original are great. The Alias and Cahill's mixes are the standouts.

Agnes - Release Me

This song had a considerable amount of success in Europe earlier this year, and now it looks like it may do the same in the U.S. Agnes was the winner of Swedish Idol back in 2005. "Release Me" is from her third album. She was recently signed to a label in the U.S. The Dance/Pop track is light and pretty. It is very catchy. Agnes' vocals are pretty good too. The various remixes, particularly the Cahill and Moto Blanco ones are great. Additional mixes for the U.S. release are in the works.

Cahill featuring Nikki Belle - Sex Shooter

This is their latest single, which happens to be a cover...again. This time, they take on Apollonia 6's "Sex Shooter" which originally came out in 1984. Apollonia 6 was basically Vanity 6 (best known for "Nasty Girl") with Apollonia replacing Vanity (nee Denise Matthews). Singer Nikki Belle's vocals are pretty decent on this cover. The instrumental production of the main version stays very true to the original and just freshens it up. There are over half a dozen remixes on the single that will help this song fit into a variety of sets.
