GoldNation - Sex Like A Pornstar (Remixes)

This is the first single from the album Soundtrack To Freedom. It's a suggestive, brooding Deep House track with spoken word vocals by Sir Ari Gold that is sure to heat up your Summer sets. Dr. Brooks, Jared Jones, Jose Zaragoza, and Lucius Lowe provide the remixes. The Dr. Brooks mix has a Disco meets Funky House flavor. Jared Jones hardens things up on his mixes. Jose Zaragoza's mix is in a similar vein as the original though it is far more minimal. Lucius Lowe's mixes are sleazy and sexy. Everyone of these mixes is a keeper though the Jared Jones and Lucius Lowe ones are the clear standouts in addition to the original.

Sir Ari Gold - Love Goddess (Remixes)

This is the latest single off of his Play My F**kn Remix: A Remix Retrospective. The 80s-sounding song is a fitting tribute to iconic actress of yesteryear, Marilyn Monroe. There are remixes by Jared Jones, Minoo, Paul Errico, Steve Sola, and Steven Hernandez. Jared Jones delivers a nice big room mix that stays close to the original. Minoo's two mixes are lovely as well with the Radio one being softer and the Dancefloor one being harder-hitting. Staying true to the main version, Paul Errico and Steve Sola's mixes are basically extended versions (the latter more than the former as he produced the original). Steven Hernandez switches things up for a very stripped down, mostly instrumental mix. Overall, the Jared Jones and Minoo Dancefloor ones are the best of the bunch in addition to the original.

Sir Ari Gold - Play My F**kn Remix: A Remix Retrospective

[Note: This review was written based on the 90 second previews on iTunes and not on the full songs as Sweet Muzik hasn't purchased this release yet for reviewing so this is more of a feature/preview.]

Another one of the projects that was funded by his IndieGoGo campaign late last year is released. Instead of a traditional greatest hits album, all of the major singles and selected tracks from his three albums have been given new remixes, and two previously unreleased songs have been added.

Every one of the remixes has a contemporary yet classic sound and updates the songs nicely. The two Jared Jones mixes of "Sparkle" and "Love Wasn't Built In A Day" are some of the highlights. They have a lovely early 90s feel as does the new mix of "Love Will Take Over." Describing how great each and every mix is might be a bit much for this review, but it's rare that all were so well done. The two unreleased songs are terrific, and would be make for great single releases if that were to happen. Overall, this is an excellent collection.

Sir Ari Gold - Play My F**kn Record

Don't judge a song by its title. Sri Ari Gold's latest single gets right to the point: he wants the DJ to play his record now! The fun song is extremely catchy Ari delivers with the vocals as he usually does. The song's chorus with the f-bombs might turn off some but it fits in so seamlessly that it almost doesn't feel that profane and is sort of cute.

The original is in an Electro/Dance/Pop style. There are plenty of remixes by Country Club Martini Crew, Radboy, Oliver Watts, bDb, Jared Jones, and Shayne B. Country Club Martini Crew's mix is in a similar style as the original but makes the song more suitable for the dancefloor. Radboy and Oliver Watts deliver two great big room mixes with great synths, hard beats, and plenty of bass. bDb's tribal mix has great percussion. The Jared Jones mix is the definitive big room and circuit mix with its massive synths and beats. Shayne B's twisted electro mix is very contemporary. Overall, every mix is great with Country Club Martini Crew, Oliver Watts, and Jared Jones mixes being the standouts.

As Aris is an independent artist, he is trying an unorthodox method of raising money to fund his current music projects He is using IndieGoGo to raise money for the music video, an upcoming remix album, documentary, tour, and promotion. If you wish to donate money to help with his projects, go to his IndieGoGo page here. Additional details about the nature of each part of the projects is there. And he has an eye catching promotional video to draw further attention to this project on YouTube (slightly NSFW)
