New Kids on the Block - Remix (I Like The)

The boyband of the 80s is back with a new single from their album 10 which is due out in April. They will also be embarking upon a tour in support of their new record. This song's title is misleading as this song is not a 'remix' at all. The retro-sounding record is very much in the same way as Bruno Mars' recent smash hit "Locked Out Of Heaven."  The guys' signature harmonies are all over the song, sounding great. Despite having taken so many periods of time off for breaks and other projects, they have managed to come back again with something that sounds very hip and current. Overall, this is a great track.

One Too Many At Midnight starring Joey McIntyre

This is a heads up for fans of NKOTB singer Joey McIntyre and singer/songwriter/producer Emanuel Kiriakou who will be in Las Vegas during the month of February. They will be performing together for a limited engagement every Saturday evening at the Palms.

New Kids On The Block featuring Ne-Yo - Single

The 80's boyband is back with a followup to the minor hit "Summertime", which was one of their first singles in over a decade. Featuring R&B crooner Ne-Yo, this song has the makings of a pretty good-sized hit. It's a mid-tempo, but could easily be remixed into an uptempo. Another plus is that this samples the opening part of Cyndi Lauper's modern standard "Time After Time." NKOTB's vocals complement Ne-Yo's very well. Overall, this is one of the better new Pop/R&B songs out at the moment.
