Ron Perkov - Basura

The circuit singer's latest single is not just about the trash ('basura' is Spanish for trash). It's about throwing your troubles and problems away and celebrating instead. The festive party song has remixes by Eddie Baez, Gustavo Scorpio, and Mike Lorello. Eddie's mix is perfect for peak hour play. Gustavo's is a nice Latin/Circuit mix. Mike Lorello's mix is the one that works the best. It's a full on Latin production.

Ron Perkov - Be Proud

Just in time for all the Pride celebrations, Ron Perkov is back with a new single. The lyrics are good, but the vocals leave a little to be desired. It is a bit weaker vocally than his previous offerings, however, a number of the remixes manage to save the song. There are remixes by Mike Lorello, Twisted Dee, Giuseppe D, Gustavo Scorpio, Micky Friedmann & Alex Botar, and Mike Cruz. Mike Lorello's mix is a stunning big room stormer.  Twisted Dee's mixes are big room-oriented as well. Her dub is quite good. Giuseppe D's circuit/eurodance hybrid works is pretty and uplifting, as is Gustavo Scorpio's which calls to mind some of Tony Moran's style. Micky Friedmann & Alex Botar's mix is similar with a hint of electro. Mike Cruz's mixes are the mildest of the bunch, being more suited for mixshows and radio. Overall, the Mike Lorello and Giuseppe D mixes are the best, however, every mix is really good.

Edson Pride feat Cyon Flare - Free Your Body

This is the latest release from Brazilian producer/remixer/DJ Edson Pride. "Free Your Body" is a circuit-oriented record featuring the soulful vocals of Cyon Flare. The main mix isn't slutty or dirty as the remix name would indicate. It's quite positive actually. There are additional mixes by William Umana, Tony Moran & Mike Lorello, Alexander & Mark VDH, Jonnas Roy & Tony Dark, Jose Jimenez, and Ronald Rossenouff. William Umana's mixes are synthier and feature more vocals. Tony & Mike's mix is very anthemic and showcases the vocals really nicely. Alexander & Mark's mix is a tad darker. Jonnas & Tony's mix is in that familiar Offer Nissim tribal dub style. Jose Jimenez's mix has a Latin tribal feel. Ronald's mix is a bit more electro-styled. Not a bad mix in the bunch. Tony & Mike's mix works the best overall.
