Kris Allen - The Vision Of Love

After initially surfacing in remixed form, the original version has been released. As expected, it is an uptempo Pop/Rock song. Additional lyrics not heard in the remix are there in the verses. Also, some of the vocals sound like they are from a different take than what were used in the remix. The new "whoa oh..." ad libs after the choruses are a really nice addition. The chorus sung at the end of the song in a lower octave with the piano almost feels like it could have been used as a bridge. Overall, the song is really great.

Kris Allen - Vision Of Love (Remix)

Mostly known for his Adult Contemporary fare, it appears that he may be broadening his horizons into Dance music. The album version of the song has not surfaced yet, however, a remix by Finnish duo Maison & Dragen has. The big room, Electo-House remix is uplifting as it is hard-hitting. Kris's vocals are fantastic. He sounds perfectly at home on a production of this sort, although, he could probably do great with any genre. It is not known at this time whether this is a single or will even be appearing on his upcoming sophomore album.

Kris Allen - No Boundaries

This season of American Idol yielded quite a surprise when Kris Allen won. Many had expected early frontrunner Adam Lambert to take the title. It's too soon to tell which will be the more successful of the two.

Both recorded "No Boundaries", a song written by Kara DioGuardi, Cathy Dennis and Mitch Allan. Both performed the song during the finale last week. Many felt that Adam's more emotive version was better, however, others felt that the more subdued one Kris delivered was more fitting. There are significant differences between both contestants' versions, however, the more subdued one works much better. It's more effective. While it may not be THE single that launches his career, this could be a good step in the right direction.
