Jay Sean - Make My Love Go (feat. Sean Paul)

The British Indian R&B star is back with a brand new single which features Sean Paul. It is a fun fusion of contemporary R&B and Dancehall with a hint of Tropical House. Jay's vocal delivery has more of a Dancehall style The pre-chorus is actually an interpolation of Maxi Priest's early 90s hit "Close To You." It's an unlikely choice for reviving right now but it works so well. Sean Paul is a nice addition. Overall, this has the potential to re-establish Jay on the scene.

Jay Sean - Where You Are

This is his latest single. He moves away from the Dance/Electro sound of some of his recent releases. This one is a fusion of R&B, Hip Hop, and Acoustic Pop. And it is one of his first few singles in a while to not have a guest rapper. It is fairly catchy and Jay sounds great, however, this feels a little safe and lacks the edge that some of his other singles had. This may help to get him in Pop radio's good graces, though they haven't been receptive to his singles in a while.

Jay Sean - So High (Remixes)

This is the latest single from the R&B singer's forthcoming new album. Produced by Afrojack, the electro/pop track is super catchy and perfect for the clubs and radio. There are some remixes by Ralphi Rosario and Papercha$er. Ralphi's main mix and edit are mainstream big room mixes while the dub packs a greater punch. The production on the dub is slightly different. Papercha$er's mixes are very synthy during the vocal sections, however the instrumental bits consist of noisy electro. Overall, the Ralphi mixes are the better ones.

Jay Sean - Down

The British artist has been generally unknown to the majority of the U.S., however, that may change with the release of "Down." This is the first time a single of his is being pushed in this fashion. The uptempo R&B/Pop track has all the makings of a Summer smash. Great vocals, nice lyrics, a great hook and the club-ready production. This one does call to mind some of Akon's recent work but it manages to stand on its own.
