Official Preview Of "The Great Gatsby" soundtrack

The highly anticipated soundtrack to Baz Luhrman's upcoming movie musical The Great Gatsby is now available to preview. Beyoncé and Andre 3000's cover of "Back To Black" (originally by Amy Winehouse) which was heard in the movie trailer wasn't made available as part of the preview. The soundtrack will be released on May 7.

Florence + The Machine - Spectrum

This is the latest single from their Ceremonials album. The haunting and rousing midtempo doesn't deviate much from the unusual brand of music that they are known for. It is a wonderful track from the slow build to the percussion to the stunning strings section of the bridge. The song is so wonderfully dramatic. There is a dance remix by Calvin Harris that takes the song to greater heights making it just a bit more uptempo and atmospheric for the dancefloor. The music video is absolutely gorgeous too.

Florence and the Machine - You've Got The Love (Mark Knight Remix)

Although the song was a single a while back, this new version has been released. The original version which appears on Florence and the Machine's album was a cover of the Candi Staton classic. A number of other artists have covered it as well. This new mix by Mark Knight has been buzzed about for months after various drafts and edits of it were previewed and played out. It was finally released earlier this month in an effort to raise money for those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The remix is slightly darker and progressive with Florence Welch's stunning vocals taking center stage. Even a small sample of the song "Your Love" which formed the basis of the instrumental of the original The Source mix of Candi's version is incorporated, fitting in so perfectly. A wonderful remix for a great cause.
