The X-Factor alum's latest single from his I'm Right Here EP is called "Rockin' With You." The 90s sounding R&B/Pop song calls to mind some of Maroon 5's recent singles, which is a good thing. The song's melody resembles Eternal's UK hit "Angel Of Mine" (which R&B songstress diva Monica later covered). Whether intentional or not, it works quite well. Chris displays his strongest vocal performance to date. Each single released so far has been better than the previous one, and this is no exception.

Chris Rene - Trouble
After the breakout success of "Young Homie" during the Spring comes the Reggae-infused "Trouble" just in time for the Summer. Chris sings about a girl that he might want to be wary of but can't quite stay away from. The song is almost like the lovechild of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" and Bruno Mars' recent work and the result is an ultra catchy song. Chris shows further growth vocally on this one and his fun delivery makes it even better. With the right push this could be an even bigger hit than his first single.

Chris Rene - Young Homie
The Santa Cruz native wowed many with this song on FOX's maiden season of The X-Factor last Fall. He performed this original song several times during his time on the show, most notably during his audition. He placed 3rd overall in the competition. The autobiographical lyrics about his own struggles and issues will strike a chord with many. The new studio version is a lot better than the original version he that he performed live as his vocals are much better now. This is a solid first single. His new album is due later this year.
