Rita Ora feat Chris Brown - Body On Me (Remixes)

This is a new collaboration involving the two Pop and R&B singers. It is a sensual midtempo that contains one of Rita's strongest vocals to date and is one of Chris Brown's best features in a while. Their vocals complement one another perfectly. There are remixes by Dave Aude and Zac Samuel. Dave Aude has delivered a mix that is faster than the original, but isn't quite at a traditional House tempo. It's in the style of the Tropical House that has been popular. The vibe of the original translates extremely well with this remix. Zac Samuel's Disco-lite remix is at a higher tempo and also works well. Both remixes are exquisite.

Nick Jonas - Teacher (Remixes)

The Jason Evigan-produced song is suggestive and groovy, and it is the next single from the heartthrob's current album. The song is super catchy and has multiple hooks, both lyrical and instrumental. There are remixes by Bassanova, Dave Aude, and Young Bombs. Bassanova's mix fuses Deep House and Dubstep to create an interesting mix. Dave Aude's mix keeps many of the melodic elements of the original and is Giorgio Moroder-esque. The Young Bombs mix is at a lower tempo and is in a Trap style. Overall, all 3 are well-done, though Dave Aude's is the best of the bunch.

Amy Grant - In Motion (The Remixes)

The Christian/Pop artist's highly anticipated remix album was released today. It was announced late last year that this was in the works. A handful of some of her biggest hits were selected for this collection and they were remixed by an A-list team of remixers. Every remix is produced in an uplifting style that maintains the emotional and spiritual message of the original songs. Some of the songs will take some getting used to with the club-oriented productions. This is another rare case where every remix is well-produced and suits the songs. The remixes of "Say Once More", "You're Not Alone", "Better Than A Hallelujah", and "Stay For Awhile" (both of them) are outstanding, though every remix is excellent. The only downside of this collection is that 90% of the main tracks are radio edits and not full length or mixshow length.

LeAnn Rimes - Dance Like You Don't Give A...Greatest Hits Remixes

The Country star has had a string of chart hits throughout her nearly 2 decade career. A number of her singles were remixed for the clubs and she had success on the Club Play chart. An album consisting of both previously unreleased and released mixes was released last week. It is completely unmixed and features remixes of some of her biggest hits as well as a few other selected singles that didn't quite get the attention they deserved. Every single one of these remixes is melodic and is a good match for the original song. The highlights include the remixes of "Gasoline And Matches", "You've Ruined Me", "Can't Fight The Moonlight", "I Need You", "How Do I Live", "Strong", "Nothin' Better To Do", and "Headphones." This is an outstanding collection of remixes.

Idina Menzel - Let It Go (Remixes)

The Oscar-winning big ballad from the Disney movie Frozen has been given remixes for the clubs by Dave Aude, DJ Escape and Tony Coluccio, and Papercha$er. Dave Aude's mix keeps the drama of the original and is quite pretty, though it just doesn't sound all that special. The Escape and Coluccio mix also suffers from a very one note production that just doesn't fit such a dynamic song. Their effects, builds, and breakdowns work really well though. Papercha$er saves the day with the perfect mix which balances the drama with a spot on production and uses nearly all of the vocals effectively. There is also another remix by Armin Van Buuren that will be appearing on a special Disney remix album.

Beyoncé - Partition (Remixes)

Celebrating sexytime in the back of a limo, this racy song is the next single from the diva's chart-topping self-titled visual album. The beat and bass-driven song starts off with the "Yoncé" interlude leading straight into the playful track. The production is red hot.

There are some remixes by Dave Aude and Tom Stephan. Dave Aude's mix does not stray too far from the original, retaining the original's slow groove and tempo, but he adds some additional elements that help it surpass the original. Tom Stephan's uptempo mix is more suitable for the big room floors. This mix super sexy too.

Baker - Not Gonna Wait (Remixes)

Although this was released last year on an EP with several other songs, the club remixes were only released earlier this week. The original is a delightful, fun Dance/Pop track which only showcases some of what Baker can do vocally. It would easily do well on Pop radio with the right promotional push. Adam K, Dave Aude, and Ralphi Rosario provide the remixes. Adam K's mix is in a similar vein as the original, however, it has a distinct 80s synthpop flavor. Dave Aude's is chunkier and more suited for the dancefloor. Ralphi Rosario's mainstream tribal mix ends up being the best of the bunch, though all the mixes are really well-done.

Yoko Ono - Walking On Thin Ice 2013

The final mix of this song with the mysterious, ominous-sounding vocals was produced hours before her late husband John Lennon was tragically murdered. The song was one of her biggest and most well known hits. It was given remixes by Danny Tenaglia, Eric Kupper with François Kevorkian, Felix Da Housecat, Orange Factory, Pet Shop Boys, Peter Rauhofer, and Rui Da Silva in 2003.

Now it is back a decade later with brand new mixes Danny Tenaglia, Dave Aude, Emjae, Ralphi Rosario, and R3hab. Danny's new mixes are a throwback to his work with Peter Daou in the mid 90s. His 'Grand Ballroom mix' starts off with a lush, nearly 3 minute downtempo introduction before the tribal beats come in. His 'Give Ice A Chance Mix' is slightly shorter, omitting the downtempo intro. It has been many years since he has done mixes in this style. Dave Aude's piano-based mixes are lovely too. Emjae's are pleasant too with the "Love Is Gone"-styled piano melody. Ralphi Rosario delivers his usual tribal anthem. R3hab's has some pretty sections but it gets really noisy quickly.

Overall, Danny Tenaglia, Dave Aude, and Emjae's are the best of the bunch.

Jessica Sutta - Again

The former member of girlband The Pussycat Dolls has been embarking upon a solo career with a series of collaborations with Dave Aude and Paul Van Dyk a few years ago as well as a few solo singles. Her latest single is an infectious Dance/Pop single that is her catchiest to date. It has the greatest potential to crossover on CHR/Pop radio and help her with her breakthrough.

Asher Monroe - Here With You

Formerly a member of the boyband V Factory, he is now trying it as a solo artist. The song was actually released as a single last year however the remixes have only been released recently. The song is cut from the same cloth as The Wanted's "Glad You Came" and "Chasing The Sun". The similarities are undeniable, but the song manages to go beyond those comparisons and is easily lyrically superior to the songs it was influenced by. The song does not try to be anything other than something fun to listen to. Asher has a really great voice and this song could help him become established as a solo artist. It has a great book and could do well on the radio with the proper push. There are several remixes by Dave Aude, Ivan Gomez & Nacho Chapado, and Sick Individuals. Dave's manages to be the best of the bunch, maintaining some of the baseline and melody of the original.

Irina - Something About You (Remixes)

This single was actually released in 2012 by the Russian singer/songwriter. Some new remixes were released last week. The original song is a fun electro/pop track. It is so catchy. It has the potential to be crossover to mainstream radio. There are tons of remixes by Alexey Romeo, Automatic Panic, Bill Hamel, Bimbo Jones, Dave Aude, Eddie Amador, Mike Newman, Razor N Guido, and Rich Morel. All of the mixes are great, however, Dave Aude, Eddie Amador, and Razor N Guido's mixes are the standouts.

Mayra Veronica - Ay Mama Mia (Remixes)

This is the latest single from the sexy Latin diva. Armed with an arsenal of remixes by Chocolate Puma, Dave Aude, Razor N Guido, Robbie Rivera, and Sick Individuals, it's a extremely fun Summery song to warm us up during these cold Winter months. It has a convivial carnival type of feel. Every mix is great, but the standouts are the Dave Aude and Razor N Guido mixes. Dave's keeps the Latin feel but adds some big stacky riffs to it. Razor N Guido's follows that style too but they inject some of their signature NY edge to it. This should be filling dancefloors all the way through the Summer.

Bera - Light It Up (Remixes)

This is the followup single to his breakout "Favorite Things" last year. Produced by Darkchild, this is an uptempo perfect for the dancefloor and radio. Stylistically, it calls to mind some of Taio Cruz and Jason DeRulo's recent uptempo singles. The Eurodance meets Electo/Pop production is hot. Remixes are provided by Abe Clements, Bimbo Jones, and Dave Aude. Abe opts for a piano-laden circuit mix while Bimbo's is a bit more atmospheric. Dave's is the pick of the bunch as it stays close to the original and soups it up. With the right promotional push, this could be huge on U.S. and international radio this Spring.

Madonna - Girls Gone Wild (Remixes)

Just as the first clips of several album tracks were released, remixes for the second single were serviced. In addition to the album version and alternate Justin Cognito mixes, Dave Aude, Kim Fai, Lucky Date, and Offer Nissim provide remixes. Dave's big room electro house treatments are hard and driving with full vocals. The spoken word section from the album version as a bridge during a buildup is a nice touch. The dub is actually a little more exciting with the minimal vocal samples. Kim Fai and Lucky Date ditch the majority of the vocals for their mixes as well. There are some fun builds and synth breaks in Kim's mix, but it's kind of noisy. Lucky Date's mix is even noisier, grating on your last nerve. Finally is Offer Nissim's vocal dub. It begins with an inviting intro featuring bits of the spoken word and some Middle Eastern male vocals. Those additional vocals pop up in various places. The big room, techy-trance mix is thrilling with the big riffs. Only some of Madonna's vocals are in the mix and they pop up as samples. A full vocal version would have been nice, but that can be forgiven. Overall, Offer Nissim and Dave Aude's mixes are the best of the bunch.

Guinevere - Crazy Crazy

She is a new Dance/Pop singer-songwriter hoping to make a name for herself with this Cirkut produced song. Her voice and visual image call to mind Gwen Stefani, Ke$ha, and Lady Gaga. The memorable hook and chorus is just so cute.

There are are remixes for this by Dave Aude, DJ Escape & Tony Coluccio, and DJ Kue.

Jessica Sutta - Show Me (Remixes)

After the former Pussycat Doll's successful foray into clubland a couple of years ago with the hits "White Lies" and "Make It Last", she is back with a new single. The original is a playful electro/rock/dance song with Jessica's infectious vocals. A plethora of remixes by Alex Gaudino & Jason Rooney, Dave Aude, and Ralphi Rosario have been made for the clubs. Alex Gaudino & Jason Rooney deliver a set of bassline-driven electro-house mixes. Dave Aude opts for a piano-driven mix this time around. Ralphi Rosario has the essential circuit mix covered. All three sets of mixes are really well-done.

Mayra Veronica - Freak Like Me

This is the sexy new single from the model/singer. Her foray into Dance music began last year with the top 10 hit "If You Wanna Fly." Armed with mixes by Dave Aude, Razor N Guido, and Eddie Amador, this one will be burning up the dancefloors. Dave and RnG's mixes are circuit-flavored, especially the latter. Eddie Amador's electro mix with swing beats sounds a lot like the electropop stuff on radio stations lately. Overall, every mix is hot. A music video featuring heartthrob Antonio Sobato Jr. is currently being shot.

Grade: A-

Bera - Favorite Things

This is the singer/songwriter's new single. Produced by Rob Fusari, the original is a Rock/Electro-Pop midtempo, showcasing his smooth vocals. It is really tough to compare Bera's vocal style to other established acts as his calls to mind so very many at different parts of the song. There's a je ne sais quoi quality to his voice that just clicks. In addition to the super radio friendly original, there are some remixes by Dave Aude. The funky house mixes are piano-driven. The vocals do sound a tad jarring at the higher tempo, but coupled with the lush production, one gets used to it quickly. This is an exciting debut single.

Nicole Scherzinger - Don't Hold Your Breath

This is her latest single from her yet to be released solo debut album. Produced by Dave Aude, this song is based on a demo track composed by Timbaland and Keri Hilson. The chorus is the only part which is identical. The midtempo has an 80's synthpop with modern electro sound to it. It is one of the better songs Nicole has come out with as a solo artist. There are remixes for this by Bimbo Jones, Cahill, Dave Aude, and The Alias. Bimbo Jones delivers an atmospheric, big room-ish, funky house mix. Cahill's is in a similar vein as well. The lush "Clocks" sounding piano section is really beautiful. Dave Aude's mix is the most aggressive, and much harder-hitting. The Alias remix is sort of the middle ground between all of these mixes, with a slight 80's feel. Overall, all versions including the original are great. The Alias and Cahill's mixes are the standouts.

Grade: A-
