This mood-setting club track takes inspiration from Voyage's Disco/Hi Nrg classic "Souvenirs." The main "let's find a place...let's keep on moving" hook is from the bridge in the Voyage song. Michelle Weeks does a great job as usual with the main vocals and the divalicious ad libs peppered throughout the dubby track. The main version and edits contain more vocals whereas the Electro Dub has just a few. The latter is more of a peakhour track.

Tony Moran featuring Frenchie Davis - You Are
This is the much-awaited new single from the former American Idol contestant. Although the song was recorded last year, it was not released until just a few of days ago. This song is quite the anthem and could stay around well into the new year. Armed with mixes by Tony Moran with Warren Rigg, Dave Saronson and Giuseppe D, plus Joe Gautheraux, Mauro Mozart, Scotty K, and Klubjumpers, this one is aimed mainly towards a circuit-oriented audience. Tony and company's mixes are nice and hard. They have the right anthemic feel. Joe Gauthereaux's are a tad lighter, but also good. Mauro Mozart's is good, but it feels like it could have been harder. Scotty K and Klubjumpers both go in a similar circuit-lite direction. Frenchie Davis sounds great on "You Are." Here's to a long, successful recording career. Overall, the package is really great.
For now, the CD single is an exclusive at Perfect Beat. Click here (Perfect Beat) to listen to clips and buy the single.

RuPaul - Cover Girl
This is RuPaul's latest single. It is being used to promote her reality show airing on the LOGO channel RuPaul's Drag Race. It is sort of a throwback to some of her 90's material, but it is not dated. It has just the right amount of diva attitude. It's enjoyable. There are over half a dozen different remixes that make this ready for the clubs. Macutchi's mix is funky House-ish. Revolucian's is 90's runway-ish just like the title of the mix. It's fun. Twisted Dee and Joe Gautheraux's are a bit harder and darker. Drew G's is much darker and more minimal, making it suitable for afterhours.Buy and listen to the mixes here (Amazon's MP3 store)
