Newcomer Warren Nomi's single "The Rush" has just begun its ascent on the Billboard Hot Club Play chart. He has just released "This Summer I." The original is a lovely Rock-tinged uptempo. Warren's vocals evoke images of Dance/Pop singer-songwriter Darren Hayes. There are some remixes by Björn Bodin and Mike Bordes vs. Klubjumpers. The main Björn Bodin mixes call to mind ATB's early work with that distinct synth guitar hook mixed with the big room sound of today. It's a euphoric hands-in-the-air type of mix. The radio edit feels a little softer while the other versions are harder. The Mike Bordes vs. Klubjumpers mix has some of the Rock vibe of the original with some Electro elements. The Björn Bodin Summer Of Club mix is the best of the bunch. This is a great track just waiting to be heard.

Sky Santos feat. Carlos Nóbrega - I Miss You
This is a collaboration between DJ Sky Santos and singer Carlos Nóbrega. The uptempo is a big room House track with an Erasure-esque melancholy vocal mourning the loss of a love. The lyrics are great. Carlos delivers one of his strongest vocal performances to date. With the right promotional push, this could be a good sized hit. The single will be released on July 16 for purchase.

Fader Lima - South Beach Free
This is her latest single. Just in time for the Summer, this song is an ode to one of the clubbing capitals of the U.S. Though a slight departure from the softer sounds she is known for, this song goes to illustrate that she is a versatile artist. The hard beats and synths swirl under her soaring vocals. Certain parts of the chorus are autotuned slightly giving it a club feel. Overall, this is great song.

Olly Murs - Heart Skips A Beat
Another UK X-Factor alum is trying his hand at success in the U.S. This former UK number one originally featured rappers Rizzle Kicks, however, the U.S. version features Chiddy Bang redoing their verse. The joyful uptempo is almost like a softer version of "Moves Like Jagger". Those who loved that song will most likely love this too. The song's hook is absolutely incredible. Olly's vocals are quite good as well.

Cher Lloyd - Want U Back
The singer/rapper was a fan favorite on the UK edition of The X-Factor last year. Her label is now attempting to cross her over in the U.S. with this super catchy song. Though lyrically banal, it is a great example of bubblegum Pop with a great hook. It might wear thin on one's nerves after too many listens, but the song is cute. There seems to be too much autotune used on the vocals which doesn't really seem necessary. Compared to her other UK singles, this one has the greatest chance of bringing her international success.

Chris Rene - Trouble
After the breakout success of "Young Homie" during the Spring comes the Reggae-infused "Trouble" just in time for the Summer. Chris sings about a girl that he might want to be wary of but can't quite stay away from. The song is almost like the lovechild of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" and Bruno Mars' recent work and the result is an ultra catchy song. Chris shows further growth vocally on this one and his fun delivery makes it even better. With the right push this could be an even bigger hit than his first single.

P!nk - Blow Me (One Last Kiss)
The wait is finally over and P!nk is back with the lead single off of her next album. The title is a tad racy, but isn't really indicative of the content of the song. Produced by Greg Kurstin, this is a very relatable song with the breakup subject. P!nk brings it with her signature attitude and air of humor. The only part of the song that may be a turnoff for some is the second half of the chorus with the "just when it can't get worse I've had a shit day, you had a shit day, we've had a shit day" part. Overall, this is another strong start to what is sure to be another massive album for her.

Carlos Nóbrega - Turn It Up
After last year's single "Pitiful" comes the new one, "Turn It Up". This is a David Guetta-esque club track. It calls to mind some of Taio Cruz and Jay Sean's recent singles and is a fun, dancefloor ready track just in time for the Summer. The production is hot and current with a nice electro/dubstep breakdown leading into the bridge. An extended mix with a slightly longer breakdown would really make it even better.Listen to the song:

Whitney Houston & Jordin Sparks - Celebrate
This is a new song Whitney recorded with the American Idol just a few days before she died. "Celebrate" is from their upcoming movie Sparkle. The song is a rousing, feelgood Disco/House/R&B track. It calls to mind "Million Dollar Bill" from her last album. Both Whitney and Jordin sound great together. The two divas complemented one another beautifully.
There is no word on whether this song will get remixes but Joel Dickinson has already made a fluffy teadance ready anthem. He includes a couple of lines and high notes from "Million Dollar Bill" that fit so well adding to the playful atmosphere of the song. The beats are hard but the Disco-lite production calls to mind a dark room with a shining mirrorball at the center.

Sak Noel - Where (I Lost My Underwear)
After the surprise international success of "Loca People" and "Paso (The Nini Anthem)" comes Sak's latest offering "Where (I Lost My Underwear)." The title is completely indicative of the subject matter and quality of the song. This song doesn't really stray from the formula of a hooky electro break and computerized female vocals talking about something vulgar that he has become known for. The previous two singles had some novelty value, however this one just feels like a caricature of the earlier singles.

David Morales - Changes (Album)
This is the much-awaited artist album from veteran producer/remixer/DJ David Morales. He has enlisted the vocal talents of Ultra Naté, Janice Robinson, Tamra Keenan, Polina, Jonathan Mendelsohn, Polina, and Róisín Murphy. Each and every one of the tracks is extremely well-produced. Wisely, all the tracks fuse sounds of the past with what's hot and happening. The result is a collection of songs with wide appeal. Though every track is wonderful, some of the highlights include "Planet Called Love", "Fall In Love Tonight", "What Do You Believe In", and "I Don't Belong Here." Wisely, the entire album is unmixed making it perfect for DJs and music enthusiasts.

Tony Moran feat Anastacia - If I Was Your Boyfriend
Tony Moran teams up with big voiced diva Anastacia for this new track. If you enjoyed remixes of Anastacia's own songs, this is the next best thing! The song's lyrics are intelligent, taking on a topic that isn't really all that common in Dance music. Anastacia sounds amazing. The original version is tribal with some pianos and Indian sitars sprinkled in. Tony and Giuseppe D's mix has a distinct Eurodance feel that was characteristic of both of their remixes towards the late 90s. Tony and Warren Rigg's mix is the big room anthem one would expect from them. Erwin Garcia's tubular-sounding electro mix doesn't really do much for the song. It may sound better in a club. Mauro Mozart's mix is in a similar vein as Tony and Warren's mix, but he picks up the tempo a little. DJ Head's mix is beautifully layered with an ethereal riff and swirling synths. It has a mid 2000s Offer Nissim feel. Overall, all the versions except the Erwin Garcia ones are really great. This could be one of this Summer's sleeper smashes.

DJ JST feat Jenn Cuneta - Nothing Compares 2 U
DJ JST and Jenn Cuneta step up to the challenge of taking on one of the most beloved songs of the 90s and covering it as a dance track. The original was written by Prince and most famously sung by Sinead O'Connor. The dramatic, melancholy nature of the original is preserved in this update. Jenn does change up the delivery of the song slightly, however, she does a wonderful job. The production on the main version has a beautiful, haunting violin break. Barona & Hull, Jared Jones, Oliver Watts, and Phil B provide the remixes. Barona & Hull pack in lots of drama with their dark mix. Jared Jones manages to give the song an Ambient Trance feel a la early 2000s era Chicane and Alex Gold. Oliver Watts and Phil B both keep things uplifting. Every remixer does a stellar job maintaining the overall mood of the song and letting Jenn's vocals remain as the focus.

Jenna Drey - Summer Night In Seattle
Dance diva Jenna Drey is back with a new single just as Summer is about to start. The song is a return to form for the singer. The song's romantic lyrics are absolutely memorable. Jenna sounds absolutely fantastic. Lenny Bertoldo's energetic production on the main versions complements the song well. Some harder remixes could take advantage of some of the more dramatic parts of the songs like the vocalizations into the bridge. Overall, this should be another hit for Jenna.
