Barry Harris - Toronto World Pride Set

Barry Harris, best known for his work with Chris Cox as Thunderpuss from 1997 until 2003. During their time together, they produced chart-topping remixes with their distinct tribal, big room sound with melodic elements for many heavyweights of the music industry including Amber, Britney Spears, Cher, Christina Aguilera, Donna Summer, Enrique Iglesias, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Holliday, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Shakira, Tamia, and Whitney Houston. Both Barry and Chris have continued to produce ever since they split in 2003.

Earlier this week, Barry released an extract of one of his live sets for Pride containing a number of brand new reworks and updates to some of the songs that him and Chris had remixed as Thunderpuss. Many of the new mixes contain elements from the original mixes they did, but they also contain contemporary sounds as well.

Vanessa Elisha - Home To Me

This is the latest single from the up and coming R&B singer/songwriter. "Home To Me" is a smooth midtempo that instantly calls to mind Ciara's "Promise". The production is in a very similar vein as that song. Vanessa's voice calls to mind various R&B songstresses such as Aaliyah, Ciara, and Tamia. The only issue is with song's instrumental production and the looped vocal sample, it slightly overpowers the singing so listen a little extra carefully when checking it out. This is a great track.

Tamia - Beautiful Surprise

The title is very appropriate for the R&B chanteuse's new single from her upcoming album reportedly of the same name. Tamia remains as consistent as ever delivering a soulful, beautiful song. Produced by veteran producer Salaam Remi, it is a smooth and sensual R&B number. Vocally, Tamia is in exquisite form. This is sure to be another big hit for her.
